The Cambodia Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is the oldest field presence of OHCHR. It was established in 1993 following the withdrawal of the UN Transitional Authority in Cambodia
(UNTAC) and operates under a mandate from the UN Human Rights Council.

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), brings together the resources of 10 UN organisations to the global AIDS response. UNAIDS works in more than 80 countries, including Cambodia. The United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (UNAKRT) represents the international side of the 'hybrid' court known as the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. Under the terms of Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Extraordinary Chambers will bring to trial senior leaders of Democratic Kampuchea and those who were most responsible for the crimes and serious violations of Cambodian penal law, international humanitarian law and custom, and international conventions recognised by Cambodia, that were committed during the period from 17 April 1975 to 6 January 1979.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) coordinates and leads UN drug control activities.
