When development efforts fully include the perspectives and participation of women, they have the best possible chance of delivering progress for all. Therefore, in all our work, UNDP promotes the empowerment of women. 

Support is also provided to strengthen women's political leadership skills and decision making roles, changing prevailing gender values and perceptions, and improving women's economic empowerment.
