On Friday, 24 of February, a closing ceremony at Cambodiana Hotel marked the end of the initiative “Strengthening Community-Based Mechanisms to Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls in Cambodia”, which mobilised volunteers and enhanced their capacity to prevent Violence against Women and Girls (VAW/G) and to raise awareness in their communities

As 2011 and therewith also the 10th anniversary of the International Year of Volunteers(IYV+10) has come to an end, it is time to summarize the achievements of the year and time for the UNV field unit in Cambodia to express its gratitude to many partners...

The first State of the World’s Volunteerism Report (SWVR) commissioned by UNV, published on the 5th of December and launched in Cambodia on the 8th of December, calls for making volunteer action an integral part of development programmes and policies.
