Some of the UNV Cambodia Field Unit’s team members are scattered over the world, as they volunteer their time and expertise online without leaving their country. They are online volunteers and while we might never meet them, we consider them an integral and essential part of our team.
Vishanta Rayamajhi, international ICT expert from Nepal, is an excellent example of an outstanding and highly committed Online Volunteer.

My name is CHHUON Thavrith, a former United Nations Volunteer.
My main contributions to the UN were mainly for the cause of peace and development, dated back in 2000-2001 with UNMIK(United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo) , 2005 with UNMIL (United Nations Mission in Liberia), and recently in 2010 with UNMIS.

As 2011 and therewith also the 10th anniversary of the International Year of Volunteers(IYV+10) has come to an end, it is time to summarize the achievements of the year and time for the UNV field unit in Cambodia to express its gratitude to many partners...
